Dear Families:
I am looking forward to meeting with all of you this week during conferences. Please remember that we have minimum days all week and we students will get out of school at 12:45.
In language arts, students will continue to work in guided reading groups to practice reading strategies and writing sight words. Students will also receive their new creative writing journals this week. Their first writing journal will go home with you during your conference time. We will also work on learning compound words and rhyming words in center time.
In math, we will continue to work on addition facts. All students will move on to adding 2+2 facts on the timed tests. A practice sheet is included in the homework packet.
We check out books in the library on Tuesdays so books need to be returned before or on Mondays.
Thank you so much for the donations to our classroom. We’ve received very comfortable, oversized pillows for our library and a gracious gift card for treasure box items and portable CD players so we can begin our Listening Center.
